Russell D. Ware, Jr., P.E.
President

With 27+ years of Civil Engineering experience in Alabama, Russ understands the challenges that face public sector and private sector clients in regard to their engineering and construction needs. A native of Mobile, his work experience has lead him across the State of Alabama, with prior services provided in Montgomery, Prattville, Wetumpka, Elmore County, Autauga County, Birmingham, Jefferson County, Mobile, Mobile County, Baldwin County and many other locations. As a graduate of the University of Alabama, he is heavily involved with his University, as he is the lead for the Civil Engineering Senior Design Class at the Capstone. Russ came back to Tuscaloosa in 2009 and started building relationships with the local municipalities, ALDOT, and Tuscaloosa County. He is proud to continue his commitment to the Tuscaloosa and Northport areas with the founding of Yellowhammer Engineering.

Christopher Howell, P.E.

Chris is a 2002 Graduate of The University of Alabama with a degree in Civil Engineering. He has twenty (20) years of experience as an Assistant County Engineer and County Engineer for various Counties in West Alabama. Chris is a registered Professional Engineer with the State of Alabama. He is also a Certified Bridge Inspector, a Certified Floodplain Manager, and has numerous certifications pertaining to asphalt and concrete.

Hunter Barger, E.I.

Hunter is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is a 2019 graduate from The University of Alabama.

He has previous experience working with ALDOT on various roadway projects. Hunter is an E.I. and in the process of pursuing his P.E. license.

Hunter and his wife Katelynn live in Northport with their 2 furbabies.

Gwynne Faile Hargle, Office Manager

Gwynne was born and raised in Tuscaloosa. She has 10+ years’ experience in accounting, with Yellowhammer Engineering she is in an administrative and accounting role. She and her husband Neal live in Ralph, AL with their daughter Abby Lee.

Braden Ware

Braden is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is currently a Junior at The University of Alabama. Upon graduation he will pursue his master’s degree at The University of Alabama. As an intern with Yellowhammer Engineering, Braden is excited to learn more about Civil Engineering and embraces the challenges that come with each new project. Braden enjoys attending various sporting events and spending time with friends and family. Braden is also an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity at The University of Alabama.

Chapman Cook

Chapman is originally from Prattville, Alabama. He is currently a sophomore at The University of Alabama majoring in Civil Engineering, after graduating he plans on taking his F.E. and P.E. exams to fulfill his dream of being a professional engineer. As an intern with Yellowhammer Engineering, he has a passion for the challenges that are presented with the design and engineering of each new project. Chapman enjoys golfing, fishing and is an active member of Theta Chi Fraternity at The University of Alabama.

Kaylyn Marlow

Kaylyn is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She is a junior at The University of Alabama. As an intern with Yellowhammer Engineering, Kaylyn thrives at finding solutions for challenging design projects. She aspires to be a Civil Engineer and has previous experience with firms located in Dallas, Tx and Huntsville, Al.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, remodeling her home, and helping her father with woodcraft.

DJ Goodmon

DJ is from Birmingham, AL. Upon receiving his associate degree from Snead State, where he was a star athlete in basketball, he transferred to The University of Alabama. DJ is currently a junior pursuing his Engineering degree. His contributions to planning and layout designs are invaluable. In his spare time DJ enjoys basketball, cars, and drawing.
